THIBODAUX HIGH SCHOOL’S MISSION IS TO ACTIVELY FACILITATE THE ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL STUDENTS.

  • The ASVAB will be administered on January 9 at THS; interested juniors and seniors should sign up in guidance this week.
  • Lady Tiger Softball will hold freshmen try outs on December 12 and December 14 from 3-5pm. Please see Coach Orgeron in room 205 for necessary paperwork.
  • Anyone interested in running track should see Coach Trosclair in room 115.
  • Hairspray auditions are rescheduled to Wednesday, January 3rd immediately after school.
  • JROTC ​, along with the Christian Club, is supporting the Toys for Tots from December 1 thru December 19. There are 4 collection boxes in the library and 2 boxes in the JROTC building.
  • Staff and Students, time to break out those tacky ugly holiday sweaters.  On Tuesday December 19th, the PASSS team will have its holiday dress-up fundraiser.  For $1, staff and students can either wear jeans with a tacky/ugly sweater or shirt or a holiday theme costume.  We will also have a dress up contest.  Students will have the opportunity to enter in two categories. The group category will consist of up to five people. Students who enter the group category must meet on the commons porch Tuesday morning by 7:15 to qualify for the group judging.   The individual category consists of the ugliest or tackiest holiday sweater, holiday shirt, or outfit.  Homeroom teachers will email Coach Roussel during homeroom with the names of the individual wearing their favorite tackiest or ugliest sweater, shirt or outfit.  The secretaries in the main office will judge those students.  Winners will be announced during the day.  We will also have a prize for the staff member with the tackiest or ugliest sweater or outfit. Remember … costumes, jeans, sweaters and shirts MUST be school appropriate.​

  • The Thibodaux High School, Central Lafourche and South Lafourche choirs will present “A Jazzy Christmas 2017” on Wednesday, December 13th in the Central Lafourche High School auditorium.  Admission is free.  The reception and silent auction will begin at 5:30 pm in Trojan Hall with the concert at 6:30 pm.  Please join us in celebrating the Christmas season with traditional carols, popular songs and jazz standards.
  • Attention students your Trivia Tuesday Question is: Where did the largest known snowball fight take place, according to the Guinness Book of World Records? A. Thibodaux, Louisiana, B. Fargo, North Dakota, C. Anchorage, Alaska or D. Seattle, Washington.  The first class to email the correct answer to thibodauxtrivia@gmail.com will win treats for the class.   • Yesterday, the JROTC rifle team competed in Morgan City High School's rifle meet. Congratulations to Sonni Miller, she placed first in the prone position. Matalie Danos placed second in the prone and the standing position.
