THIBODAUX HIGH SCHOOL’S MISSION IS TO ACTIVELY FACILITATE THE ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL STUDENTS.

Attention Lafourche Parish Distinguished Service Award Participants:  The following two groups are looking for volunteers this weekend:

  • ​​Volunteers are needed on Friday, Oct 20th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. for "The Night of the Boo-seum" that will be held at the Firemen's Fairgrounds.
  • Volunteers are needed for the Pumpkin Patch Playland from either 9 - 12:30 (includes set up) and 12:00 - 3:30 (includes clean up) on Saturday, October 21st.

Picture retakes will be Wednesday, October 18th for anyone absent during the scheduled picture days or anyone who paid for pictures and wants to retake them. Retakes will be during 3rd and 4th hour only and you MUST sign up for an appointment in the office.

Students order your boo a Spook-tacular Sucker for Halloween. The BETA Club will be taking orders for Spook-tacular Suckers in front of the office this week at A and B lunch, the cost is 50 cents each.

Congratulations to the THS Tiger Band on a great performance at yesterday's competition at Central Lafourche.   The Tiger Band earned a superior rating, along with winning music and percussion in class AAA. The band also won 1st place overall in class AAA.  

Congratulations goes out to Andrew Folse. Andrew made the All State Choir AND the All State Band on Saturday.  He will perform with both groups next month in Baton Rouge at the All State Conference. Andrew placed 2nd on euphonium out of the entire state of Louisiana! 

The following choir students underwent a two round audition process over the past month for the Louisiana Music Educators Association's All-State Choir and were selected to participate.  Beth Olin was selected to participate with the Women's Choir. Dylan Chamberlain, Andrew Folse, and Hailey Poche will participate with the Mixed Choir.

Congratulations to our 2017 Homecoming King and Queen Mr. Kay-von Williams and Miss Abbie Bonvillain. Thank you to all of the students and teachers who made Homecoming 2017 a great success.

  • Students are not to park along the driveway between the building and the tennis courts.  This area is reserved for busses.
  • Attention Lafourche Parish Distinguished Service Award Parricipants:  Volunteers are needed on Saturday, October 14th and 21st for The Pumpkin Patch Playland.  Shifts are from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (includes set up) and 12:00 pm – 3:30 pm (includes clean up).  Sign up in the library with Ms. Shaddock if you are interested in helping.
  • Balfour will be in the library during both lunch periods tomorrow to accept orders from juniors and seniors.  Come prepared with completed order form and deposit.
  • Any freshman girl that is interested in trying out for the freshman girls’ basketball team must see Coach Adams to sign up. You must have a physical and all paperwork completed in order to try-out.
  • Homecoming dance tickets are now available in the main office before school and at lunch.  Admission is $10 per person.  Anyone attending who is not a currently-enrolled THS student must have a completed guest form before purchasing tickets.  Guest forms are due by 12:30 tomorrow.  Purchase your tickets early to avoid the crowd.  Students attending the Homecoming dance are reminded to use the Talbot entrance of the school and be prepared with your school id and your dance ticket.  No tickets will be available at the door.
  • Tomorrow is Circus Animal Day, Thursday is homecoming shirt or bleed purple/gold, Friday is mix and match.  For specifics on each day, see the back of the October calendar, Remind, Instagram, Facebook or bulletin boards around campus.
  • The Homecoming pep rally is the biggest spirit event of our school year.  Join us Thursday at 6 pm in the old gym for performances by our cheerleaders, Tigerettes, Tiger Band and our Homecoming Court.  Use the main entrance of the school.  Admission is $1.
  • Today is Raising Cane’s day.  Raising Cane’s will donate 15% of all sales to Thibodaux High School.  Mention Thibodaux High School when ordering.
